All the Single Ladies

Hello, friends! Here we are again. Yet another year of being single on Valentine's Day. If you're like me, your plans for today include watching This Is Us in your bed while eating an unreasonable amount of chocolate. Each year I feel as though I'm lacking. Lacking a boyfriend. Lacking flowers and chocolate. Lacking someone to live life with. But what if I told you that you didn't lack anything after all. In Psalm 23:1 it says, "The LORD is my shepherd; I lack nothing."(NIV) If we have a relationship with Christ, we are completely fulfilled! His never ending love gives us everything we could ever need. God performed the most incredible act of love when he sacrificed His son on the cross. I don't know about you, but I would rather have God's love than flowers from a random guy on Valentine's Day! I recently found an idea on social media that I plan to use. You buy a tie and pray over it for the man you will marry. On your wedding day you give it to your future husband. I think it will be so cool to be able to give someone I have prayed for before I ever knew them a prayer soaked tie. Boys will disappoint and let you down. God never will. Instead of wallowing in self pity today, take this time to pray for your future husband. And a little chocolate never hurt anyone!
