Faith Over Fear

Hi ya'll! Happy Wednesday! For today's post I'm sharing about something that has been on my heart for quite a while. I'm mainly preaching to the choir with this one, but I still hope it encourages you!

Stepping out of your comfort zone. It's hard isn't it? You want to stay inside of your little box and stay away from the outside world. For many Christians, they want to be "all in" and "on fire" for God. However, when it's time for them to step out, they suddenly become the opposite.

Think of two chairs. The first, a soft padded recliner, while the second is a hard metal folding chair. Which one would you pick to sit in? Majority of people would pick the first one for one reason-COMFORT. That would be the better choice, right? That's what I would choose, but actually the Bible says to not necessarily pick comfort because we have the Great Comforter no matter what.

You see, even if we are content with our comfortable lives, there will be a time when the Lord convicts us to step out in order to further His Kingdom. When this happens, we try to run away from what He wants us to do. Instead, we should step out of our own comfort zones and step into His comfort zone. I mean, what's the worst thing that could happen? People look at you weird? You embarrass yourself? So what?! These are all worldly things that will soon diminish. You are trying to share Jesus with people and that has far greater effects.

The Lord promises us that He will be there to comfort us no matter what happens-we just have to have faith and trust Him. He knows what will happen and promises that it will all be okay. So, take a deep breath, pray for courage, and step out with a leap of faith.
